We examine the title page and start the first book of Nephi - It is notable that Nephi was willing to follow his father but his older brothers were much more rebellious. Perhaps it was because they had more to lose. Maybe they were more entrenched in their traditions and culture. Why does the Book of Mormon start with the story of Nephi and Lehi? Instead of Ether in chronological order? Maybe the writers and compiler wanted to establish early on the important point and difference between the heart and desire of Nephi as opposed to the older brothers.
